Are you an experienced accounting professional with strong technical skills and a keen eye for compliance and reporting?

An international company in the construction and infrastructure sector is seeking a Senior Internal Controller/accountant to join its finance team based in the Antwerp area.

Your responsibilities as a Senior Accountant:

Ensuring adherence to BE GAAP and UK-IFRS standards
Preparing statutory accounts and supporting external audits
Leading the implementation of new accounting standards and internal controls
Serving as a technical expert for local finance teams
Providing advice on complex accounting transactions, such as revenue recognition, lease accounting, and provisions
Assisting in the preparation of consolidated financial statements, monthly reports, and regulatory filings
Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and group finance

Profiel

Your profile:

Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
Relevant experience in similar role or audit
Solid knowledge of BE GAAP and IFRS
Experience with statutory reporting and consolidation processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch or French is beneficial
Expert in MS Excel, familiarity with ERP systems (such as Cognos, PeopleSoft, or similar) is advantageous
You have the ambition to grow into the role of Finance Manager in the future
