Job description
Are you the perfect port hero with a CE driving licence for port transport? If you don't mind traffic jams, love the bustling port atmosphere, and are okay with waiting around now and then, this could be the ideal job for you.
Your day starts around 6 a.m., and you'll be driving between warehouses and terminals. Sometimes you'll be hauling containers, and other times you'll work with a baché or a box trailer.
Tasks include loading or unloading and dropping off or picking up goods. You'll enjoy engaging with dock workers, stackers, or automatic loading under the crane. Occasionally, you'll find yourself standing on the weighbridge or driving through the scanner. It's all about variety!
Expect working days of approximately 10-11 hours, with all hours paid at a higher rate than standard, plus some meal vouchers to keep you fueled!
No experience yet? If you have the right motivation, don't worry! You'll spend a few days with an experienced colleague who will teach you everything you need to know.
If you have an ADR colli certificate, that's a plus; otherwise, we’d like you to obtain one in due course.
Have we sparked your interest? If so, respond quickly, and we’ll arrange an appointment so you can start soon!
