Are you an experienced maritime professional with a passion for coordination, safety, and operational excellence?

We are looking for a Maritime Coordinator to support a large-scale infrastructure project in the Antwerp region. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating vessel movements and maritime operations within a complex construction environment, ensuring safe and efficient interaction between marine traffic and ongoing infrastructure works.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a landmark project where maritime logistics, construction operations, and stakeholder management come together.

Your Responsibilities

• Coordinate vessel and marine traffic movements in and around active construction zones.
• Act as the key point of contact between contractors, vessel operators, harbour authorities, pilots, and project teams.
• Ensure maritime activities are planned and executed safely and efficiently.
• Monitor shipping schedules and operational constraints.
• Coordinate marine logistics related to construction activities, transport operations, and project interfaces.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks affecting maritime traffic and project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with maritime regulations, safety procedures, and project requirements.
• Support incident management and emergency response procedures when required.
• Maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide operational reports, updates, and recommendations to project management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Nautical Sciences, Logistics, Civil Engineering, or equivalent through experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a maritime, port, marine operations, or infrastructure environment.
• Experience coordinating vessel traffic, marine logistics, or harbour operations.
• Knowledge of maritime safety regulations and operational procedures.
• Strong planning and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a complex operational environment.
• Fluent Dutch and English required.
