Robert Half is currently recruiting a Payment Infrastructure & Operations Expert (M/V/X) - Antwerp

Our client is an innovative and fast-growing organization active at the crossroads of technology, payments, and operations.

The scope of responsibilities for this job include:

You ensure a stable and efficient payment operation by monitoring end-to-end payment flows and overseeing daily payment processing.
You take ownership of the operational performance of the core banking and payments ecosystem and act as a subject matter expert for payment processes, systems, and controls.
You investigate and resolve operational issues and complex exceptions by analyzing transaction data, reconciliations, payment statuses, and system information.
You identify and implement structural improvements that enhance reliability, efficiency, and scalability across the payment landscape.
You optimize, standardize, and document processes, controls, and ways of working to support operational excellence and reduce risk.
You support business growth and change initiatives through impact assessments, testing activities, process enhancements, and system releases.
You help maintain a controlled, resilient, and compliant operating environment by supporting internal controls, reporting, business continuity activities, and regulatory requirements

Profiel

The requested qualifications for this job as Payment Infrastructure & Operations Expert (M/V/X) include:

You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in finance, Economics, Business Engineering, Information Technology, Statistics, or a related field, or you bring equivalent experience.
You have experience in payments, banking operations, treasury, fintech, or another transaction-driven environment.
You have a strong affinity with payment processes, operational controls, and system-driven operations, while experience with core banking platforms, payment systems, incident management, process improvement, or testing is a strong asset.
You combine a strong operational mindset with analytical thinking and a hands-on, structured approach.
You enjoy solving complex operational challenges, take ownership of outcomes, and keep oversight of the full payment lifecycle.
You stay calm and solution-oriented in environments where reliability, accuracy, and continuity are critical, even when facing incidents, exceptions, or tight deadlines.
You continuously look for opportunities to improve processes, controls, and ways of working.
You are a collaborative team player who builds strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
You communicate confidently and effectively in Dutch and English.
